“Best in Class” room booking software scoops prestigious e-business award

A radically simple and effective software solution for managing meeting rooms and other resources has been named best e-business product at the prestigious PFM 2005 Awards, one of the UK's leading showcases for Facility Management.

Condeco Room and Resource Scheduling software was developed by RNM Systems to provide a total solution to the problem of managing a companies meeting rooms and associated resources. The software is entirely web-based and allows users to make requests for available rooms, book car parking spaces and even reserve 'hot desks' directly from their desktop.

The powerful administration element of the software allows the reception and client services team total control on the management of the rooms and the vendors that provide the support services such as, audio visual, food, video conferencing and other equipment. The system integrates with MS Outlook, Lotus Notes, Active Directory, LDAP and many other internal systems. The integrated MIS reporting provides a total breakdown of the utilisation and costs associated with all aspects of the process.

The panel of three judges summed up Condeco as follows:

The Condeco system developed by RNM has been thoroughly developed and implemented with the key requirements of facilities managers at the centre of the system. It is scalable enabling it to be implemented on one site or globally across many sites, and it is multilingual.

Every angle appears to have been covered by the developers of the Condeco system so that facility managers who use the system can be assured that it will meet the most demanding performance requirements. The features described were numerous but the ability to cope with last minute cancellations of rooms and catering which can accumulate such huge costs is a key one”
